aiko was shorn like a sheep the other day, and she's never been happier...until her dad used that phrase, and her poor little ears perked up and she looked all expectant, and we realized that she still remembered the word for her favorite toy when she was a puppy. her guts-ripped-out-many-many-moons-ago favorite toy. sorry, aiko.

i plan to carry this photo around in my wallet and throw it in the faces of those who ask us if we're getting rid of our dogs now that we have a baby. you know, especially that dangerous pit bull who will surely eat her one day.

this dog bed is wedged in between two couches. the dogs love hiding there, and lately the kittendog has joined in. this is a rare moment of quiet between teagan and cadence. minutes later, that damn cat was back to climbing door jambs and throwing herself against the glass of the back door.

my mom is out of town for the week, so we're taking care of her new puppy, and in the process, we have learned that four dogs is probably our saturation point. still, it's damn cute when you walk in on this:

i have to say i'm incredibly impressed with my husband's ramp-building skills. i really didn't think he was going to end up with anything nearly this structurally sound, and i certainly didn't think the ramp itself would make the dogs this damn happy. kudos to you, my love.

this is how teagan plans to act as our living, breathing baby monitor: stare intently and then run to mom and dad if ANYthing moves...i'm sure it will be extremely helpful.

here's something i didn't know when i moved to arizona

it snows sometimes. for three days. and everyone freaks out. but at least malichai enjoys it.

i cannot express to you enough that malichai truly did enjoy wearing this t-shirt-and-shorts combo. he honestly seemed disappointed when we took them off again. i particularly enjoy that he's wearing my "future lawyer - i'll get you off" boxers and that his tail looks like it should be censored out of the photo...

i finally downloaded the pictures we took of the dogs opening their christmas presents (yes, we're just that sick), and i can't believe i've gone weeks not knowing that i had a picture of this particular malichai face.

(hey, look in the corner! it's the wii fit that i refuse to even stand on now that i'm expanding daily. super timing on that purchase!)
